Noise Management

We've worked with acoustic engineers to develop a comprehensive Noise Management Plan and in consultation with the Gold Coast City Council. PA Speakers are intentionally positioned in the venue to minimise noise carrying away from the venue. Sound Levels are also continuously monitored at multiple locations around the venue to ensure compliance with both the Noise management Plan and the Environmental Protection Act 1994. The Environmental Protection Act 1994 can be found here

Traffic & Parking

During Open Air Events held on the Outdoor Stage, HOTA engages with Traffic Management services to assist with the entering and exiting of vehicles during busy event times. On-Site parking is managed to minimise local residential street impact and also to ensure surrounding local access roads are not congested with parked cars. For our Larger capacity events, HOTA also engages with Queensland Police Service to assist with Traffic Management to ensure as little disruption as possible around the surrounding area.

Event Frequency

Majority of our open-Air events throughout the year occur on a Friday evening and weekend. All open-Air events have a strict curfew time of 10pm unless a special request has been approved. If an extension has been provided to a particular event, this will be noted on the individual event page and also reflected on the finish time in the above schedule.

Environmental Protection Act 1994

HOTA operates in accordance with Queensland's Environmental Protection Act 1994, which sets the standards for noise from open air events. Understanding this legislation helps our neighbours know their rights and what to expect from us.

HOTA Noise Management Plan

Our Noise Management Plan outlines how we monitor and manage sound levels at the Outdoor Stage, from acoustic engineering to on-the-night monitoring. It's our commitment to being a good neighbour while delivering great live experiences.
